I’m a South London-based writer, film critic, and programmer with a focus on Black and female filmmakers. I curated the incredibly successful BFI season Black Debutantes: A Collection of Early Works by Black Women Directors (May 2025), which garnered international press attention in publications such as Deadline, The Guardian and i-D Magazine to name a few, and even secured a slot on Channel 4 News.

Since 2019, I have worked as a freelancer frequently contributing written work to Little White Lies, i-D, Curzon Journal, New York Magazine’s The Cut, and Polyester Zine.

I have helmed on stage Q&As with talent such as Kneecap, Pamela Anderson, countless first time directors and the veteran Mike Leigh who called me “wonderful”. I edited the Clio Award-winning The Underground Railroad campaign book for Barry Jenkins and have worked with national film charity Reclaim The Frame as a program producer. Outside of writing and hosting, I’m passionate about discussing pop culture, particularly popstars, through my Divas Do Film screenings.

I’m a Libra, my favourite film is Heat, I don’t have a go-to karaoke song, I’d always rather be in NYC.
